MY STORY
For nearly three decades, my career has been guided by one simple belief: every patient deserves safe, effective skincare, regardless of their skin tone.
As an esthetician, educator, author, and speaker, I witnessed firsthand the confidence that thoughtful, evidence-informed care can restore. I also recognized a significant gap in professional education. Too many practitioners wanted to provide excellent care for melanin-rich skin but lacked the specialized training and clinical guidance to do so with confidence.
That realization shaped the direction of my career.
What began as a passion for helping individual clients evolved into a mission to educate the professionals who care for them. By teaching one practitioner, I could help improve the experience and outcomes of thousands of clients and patients.
That mission ultimately led me to establish the Skin of Color Global Institute, where education, clinical excellence, and patient safety remain at the heart of everything we do.
